Meet the Artist

Anna and Txell are internationally recognized stained glass artists and conservators. Anna discovered glass during her university art studies and later trained in restoration and design across Europe before opening her own studio in 2014. Txell joined in 2020, bringing a contemporary, experimental perspective. Their expertise is sought by heritage and ecclesiastical organizations across Europe.

Specializing in both historic stained glass restoration and contemporary design, they blend traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics. Their skills include leading, copper foiling, glass painting, sandblasting, and acid etching—techniques that shape intricate pieces interacting with light, color, and texture. Their restoration work follows strict conservation principles to preserve the integrity and longevity of historic works.

Anna’s experience across cultures informs her adaptive restoration approach, while Txell’s expertise in glass painting and innovative compositions brings fresh energy to the craft. Both are fascinated by light’s transformative role, using textures, transparencies, and layering to create dynamic pieces. Their work ranges from restoring historic windows to designing contemporary stained glass for homes and public spaces.

For them, stained glass is an ancient craft with endless creative potential. They are passionate about sharing their knowledge, inviting you to experiment and shape your own artistic vision.

Explore Girona

Located 1.5hrs from Barcelona, Girona is a city where medieval heritage and contemporary culture converge. Known as the “City of Stained Glass,” it has a deep-rooted glassmaking tradition, exemplified by the Whitewashed Table—a rare 14th-century design template found only here. This artifact provides the only physical evidence of medieval stained glass techniques, and its influence lives on in the Cathedral of Girona’s windows. This legacy shapes Anna & Txell's work, where tradition meets innovation. Across the city, Gothic and Modernist buildings showcase stunning stained glass, illuminated by Girona’s Mediterranean light.

Beyond glassmaking, Girona captivates with its medieval old town, winding streets, and one of Europe’s best-preserved Jewish quarters. It’s also a cultural and culinary hotspot, home to world-class restaurants like El Celler de Can Roca and a thriving arts scene. Whether for history, architecture, or creative energy, Girona is a city that inspires.

Summer (July–August) can be extremely hot and crowded, while winter (December–February) is cooler and quieter but less lively.
