The interactions, the hands on learning and creating, and the friendships that are part of these adventures makes for incredible memories. Seeing the artists in their environment and experiencing their home and their city/town/village and country through their eyes is like no other vacation I’ve ever experienced. Exposure to different mediums and methods enhances one’s perspectives and one’s thought processes going forward. 

Being creative allows me to tap into a part of myself that is a balance to what I do in my working career. Being creative brings me joy. VAWAA piqued my interest and gave me the courage to pursue different mediums with different artists in different places. 

Seeing the pieces created with VAWAA artists in my home trigger wonderful, positive memories and make me smile.
