I have done a bit of clay sculpture over the years but never attempted a portrait. My wife passed away a few years ago and I decided to attempt a portrait of her with Kristine and Colin's assistance. Using photographs and with their expert participation, a portrait of my wife emerged from the clay. Beyond the emotional content of the experience, Kristine and Colin's expertise, patience and compassion produced for me a powerful piece of sculpture but also an enjoyable experience. If I have the discipline to practice, I will engage them for another portrait experience.
